From the private collection of Stephen Oates comes a tasting to celebrate Feis Ile (Islay Festival).
In the days of Mark Reynier and Jim McEwan, Bruichladdich’s custodians tried all sorts of wine casks to add intrigue and complexity to the spirit. Here are some of the experiments and milestones that led to one of Islay’s great successes. Comparing wines to these “finished” whiskies is quite a treat that brings great appreciation to the skill of the creators.
